REVIEW IBIS HOTEL SCHEVENINGEN
Lees haar review Ibis Hotel Scheveningen hieronder!
Today I want to tell you all about how I’ve spent my New Year’s Eve! I was lucky enough to spent the night in the Ibis Hotel Scheveningen. Scheveningen is a city along the Dutch coast, very near The Hague (for my non-Dutch readers). The Ibis Hotel Scheveningen is just a few steps away from the beach, so a perfect location but yet with an affordable price! We had the best room in the Hotel! Room 609 on the topfloor with a seaview. The room was very spacious (the biggest in the hotel) but if you’re not the person to stay in your room a lot you can also visit the Lobby Bar, or the living room/chill space with a very cozy fireplace.
In the evening we watched the fireworks from our balcony and after that we watched the traditional ‘vreugdevuren’ (joy fires) from Scheveningen. We went to bed (kingsize!) kinda early for New Year’s Eve because we had something special the morning after. We participated in the Nieuwjaarsduik (diving into the freezing ocean on the first of January)!
So in the morning the alarm went off early and we headed down for breakfast. The breakfast was very yummy! We had a lot of choice from fresh croissants to sandwiches, and from scrambled eggs to sausages. Normally I’m not a big fan of the ‘English’ breakfast but in the end we both went for this (warm) option because of the cold task of us ahead.
After our bellies were filled we headed to the beach. It was super cold but it was something that has been on my bucketlist for a while now! SO although I was freezing my toes off I did enjoyed it! After that we were allowed to stay in the hotelroom longer than normal so we could warm and clean ourselves with a hot shower. I had a blast spending my New Year’s Eve and first day of the year in this hotel, so thanks Ibis Scheveningen! I made a little VIDEO to give you an impression of the hotel and the ‘Nieuwjaarsduik’, thanks to Jari’s GoPro. I hope you like it!
